How to use MTF?
Submission Forms
To submit articles, short stories, classified, and poetry use the contribute buttons at the top of each page. Choose the appropriate submittal page and fill out the form. You will need to provide an email address when submitting a classified ad but it is for the submission verification process only. You will be able to choose during the submission process whether you wish to be contacted by email.
Events Submission
When you fill out the events page if you have website address that provides more information about your event include it. Get your events in no more than one month ahead of your event date or deadline.
Community events will be placed on the calendar under MyTownFranklin. Church events will be placed on the Steeples section. Veterans events will be placed on the Guard Shack section and Class Reunions and school events will be place on the School Daze section.
Article, short stories, and poetry
When filling out this submission form make sure you select a category you believe your article should be displayed. If it is your first time submitting you will need to provide a short precise biography if you wish. If you are submitting future articles under the same user name it is not necessary to provide a biography. You should also provide a link to a family friendly website that will be attached to a graphical banner next to your name. This website may be your business or personal site or another of your choice. For example you may wish to promote a nonprofit website like your church website, or link to another site like a blog about your favorite football team. But you need to submit this to us because we cannot read your mind, will not contact you about the link.
Just like the biography, if you are submitting under the same user name you will not need to resubmit a website link. ONLY SUBMIT A NEW LINK if wish to change the current link. This will change the graphical banner and links on EVERY ARTICLE you have submitted in the past under a specific user name.
Classified Advertising
IS FREE and will remain posted on J's Trading Post for two weeks. You may resubmit following the deletion of your previous ad. Classifieds go through a verification process that uses your email address to cut down on non human submitters. So follow through on the instructions provided to submit your classified ad. Once you have verified your ad by email it will go in to an 'Awaiting Verification' section until MTF can review it and approve it. Once that has happened your two weeks begin and you be able to see your ad on J's Trading Post.
Reading Articles on MTF
Enjoy your travels around MTF and get to know your favorite artists. If you like a particular story then select a tag below the author's name to see all the articles tagged with the same subject. Or if you like the author click on their name to see all the articles by them on MTF.
Studio C Artists
First, you should be an artist that has some residence in Macon County, whether seasonally or permanently. You may submit your art work in a couple of different ways. First you may choose to attach your images of your work to an email or as many as is needed to get up to fifteen pieces of art. Please try to keep your images approximately 1-2 MB each. This should allow you to attach about three images to each email but still keep them large enough for the viewer to enjoy the details. You may submit the emails to the address: submit@mytownfranklin.com. Please place in subject line this > Artist - Your Name. For example using my name this would be my subject line: Artist – Lee Cloer
You may also place up to fifteen images of your artwork on a CD and mail them to:
