Aaron Tippin was in town for a concert on Feb 26, 2010. He built a bike during the concert while singing ‘Working Man’ and then donated it to Toys for Tots. On December 24, 2009 Family Auto Care (Franklin) donated $300 to Toys for Tots. The donation came from a fund raising idea of Dan McGaha, owner of Family Auto Care.

Beginning just the week of December 14 for every oil change that Family Auto Care did for their customers, $10 would be given to Toys for Tots. This $300 donation was the result of that fundraiser.

Toys for Tots would like to thank Dan McGaha, Family Auto Care, and their customers for such a generous contribution. Merry Christmas!

Christmas is almost here. Soon Santa will take to flight in his little red sleigh zipping around from home to home delivering toys to little girls and boys… that have been good… Are you still on his list of deliveries?

Tis the season for everyone to be busy I know. Mine alone has included Toys for Tots, my children’s several different Christmas specials where they sing or act or just stand there with hands in their pockets staring at the ground. The snow they have been calling for came and went… I did get some nice photos on Saturday up the Highlands Road as I went up for the Highland Christmas Parade. Luckily we have had enough rain and the roads were still warm enough that the snow stuck to everything except the road. It made for a nice trip up as we took out time. The Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots (TFT) needs your help. When you see a TFT change jug around town please consider dropping in some change. Or at collection box, if can afford to, think about putting a toy in. The Marines that work for TFT pick up once a week all around town so the toys and money should not set there long.
